The Agrupació takes part at the international man-made fibres congress
From 16th to 18th September 09, the 48th edition of the Man-Made Fibres Congress took place in Dornbirn (Austria).
"Textile Innovative Business Grouping" was the title of the paper presented by the Agrupació at the Congress.

First General Assembly of the Agrupació
The first General Assembly of the Agrupació took place on 22nd June. The activities carried out on the first year were presented, as well as the planned short term projects.



The Agrupació participated in the First meeting of Innovative Business Groupings
On 15th July, the Agrupació participated in the First meeting of Innovative Business Groupings, organized by the Directorate General of SME Policy (DGPYME).
The representatives of the Spanish Innovative Business Grouping took part in the meeting, as well as the responsibles for cluster policies in the Spanish regions.



Innovation Evenings 2009
The Agrupació takes part since 2008 as organizer of the conferences Innovation Evenings, together with Leitat Technological Center and Technological Innovation Center CTF.

During 2009 two conferences have been celebrated:
- Smart Textiles
- Seen and not seen at Techtextil’09

The conference which will close de 2009 course will take place on November, with the title "Innovation management".



The Agrupació took part in Techtextil
The Agrupació was present at Techtextil, which took place from 16th to 18th June in Frankfurt.
Techtextil Frankfurt is the most important European event related to technical textiles, which comprises a trade fair and a symposium.
The Agrupació had its own booth at the fair with the aim of raising its profile at an international level. Eight members were represented at the booth.



Impuls Lean project
The Agrupació is taking part in the Impuls Lean project, together with Leitat Technological Center. The main aim of this project is to help SMEs and theirs employers to improve its productive system model, thus the company could be more efficient and competitive, using the principles and tools of Lean Management. It is a project financed both by SOC (Catalonia Occupation Service) and by the European Social Fund.

Register of the AEI Vallès Occidental in the Innovative Business Grouping Register
On 20th April, the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade decided to register the AEI Vallès Occidental in the Innovative Business Grouping Register, with number REAEI-00048.

This new situation will allow the Agrupació to obtain financing to develop new projects and to set new activities, in benefit of its members. Furthermore, both the Agrupació and its members will have a preferential treatment when they apply for grants in the above mentioned Ministry.
